So depressed

,

Matthew P. Haubert / 2023 post suicide attempt

Turned this poem into a song today

Verse 1
So depressed every day,
Wish the pain would go away.
So sad all the time,
Ruminating every night.
So depressed every day,
Living the same old ways.
So sad all the time,
No smiles in my life.

Chorus
Alone I cry, no one hears,
My voice has become a rasp of sorrow, no one cares.
I’ve screamed for help, never anyone near—
So alone, aloud all the time, in abundance of fear.

Verse 2
The same hours, late at night,
Empty bed, no love in sight.
Cycling every day,
Manic, depressed, in pain.
So depressed every day,
Waiting for hope—never a change.
Another day, another night,
Depressed, sad, contemplating suicide.
