Verse 1
I woke up with the taste of sleep still sour on my tongue,
The curtains let the morning in, but not the sun.
I shaved my face tp feel alive, and bled a little proof,
That I’m still leakig through the cracks, every truth
Chorus
I’ll hum my way through the thunder,
Pretend that im under the skys good grace.
If the ran comes down, let it tear me asunder.
I’ll drown with a smile on my pale abused face.
Verse 2
The water boils screams, just like a ghost I used to now,
Whistling hymns for the sins I never could outgrow.
The mirrors got opinions, but it wont tell me aloud,
So I drink until the my silent stair feels proud.
repeat chorus
Bridge
Theres warmth in decay of life, Ive learned to believe,
That even dead flowers still beg to deceive.
Ill press them between pages, preserve and pretend they still live,
Call it living, lie to myself like I do everyday, forgiveness, theres none left to give.
Final chorus
So ill hum my way through the thunder
Pretend that im under some gods good grace.
When rain pours down, ill write and wonder,
If death is just rest, a chapter in a regretfilled life.
Outro
Its a warm day to decide to die
But I think ill live one more today, well see about tomorrows forecast
If it predicts my grave
